Abilities: Hypnotic control through exciting the blood in his desired target, superhuman strength and speed, flight, healing factor through consuming blood, enhanced hearing, and a powerful bite.

Weaknesses: His mixed species of werewolf and vampire counteract the other's weaknesses, granting him immunity to the effects of silver or sunlight. But he still needs to feast on blood every now and then, and for all intents and purposes, he is weak to anything holy or blessed.

Personality: Gladius is a refined gentleman who is surprisingly quite friendly to anyone not displaying hostile intent, but can be quite fierce towards those who do. He prefers to isolate himself in his jungle home but welcomes any company that may come around, provided they do not try to kill him.

Background: Many years ago, to the point that Gladius cannot remember his real name, he was a noble living the good life. But an unfortunate incident ended up getting him in the crossfire between a werewolf and vampire clan, and so he was hit with attacks from both sides. Unknowingly, he was bitten by both a vampire and a werewolf, but instead of killing him, he was transformed into a hybrid of both.

When he awoke from his slumber, he found what had become of him. Enraged and overcome with the bestial nature of both halves due to his initial transformation, he went after both clans and effectively slaughtered them, reducing their numbers to a single digit. Yet he was made a target by the humans he had once been part of, forcing him to flee. He flew long and fast, until arriving at a jungle relatively untouched by colonists.

There he forged a new life, living among the natives of the jungle, creating a house in the treetops from his knowledge of the civilized world but applied in a manner that did not harm the environment around him. And so, he has lived there all the way to present day.
