"Soo... Did we just get dragged into a cult. or--?
"It's not a cult wtf-"
Isn't it, though? You live and work in a catacomb dug out of a clife-face with the entrance made to look like your leader's face, you start every morning with a chant that tells you if you don't always smile, do your work and fight our enemies BAD THINGS WILL HAPPEN TO YOU, when you screw up the second-in-command will STARVE you and even when you DO good work 90% of your earnings go to the guild...which I guess they just put in a big Scrooge McChattot money pool or something because we never see those funds actually used to improve or maintain the guild in any way.
Oh and the "graduation ceremony" is you being lead into a literal pitfall trap where the rest of the guild members are wearing matching robes and talking all creepy and "OooOooOoOh we are the masters of everything baAAaAaaAaad!~" and then they gang-bang you.
But yeah, sure, totally not a cult.
