Here's a zoomed-in version of the last panel of this NQN comic page: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/44285349/
From left to right we have:
-
PyroANTIC's Josh, taking a nap
-
LinkTheHero5555's goat peep and
ezylryb123
- (misc otter nurse as the receptionist due to needing a blank slate for the next page 😜 )
-
fearlesstiger Feraku (in kobold form!) holding hands with his demon boyfriend Salve by
Uplift
-
TenOfClubs's yeen sona
Of course, this zoom-in has revealed the not-so-secret bit of plot silliness that Kree has accidentally dragged them into the maternity ward reception area rather than the hospital's main reception. Filled with several expectant mothers… who also happen to be male. Pregnancy is an equal-opportunity endeavour in still-not-yet-named-fantasy-furry-world! 😜
OOC I did have plans for an equal mix regular pregnancies and mpreg but I wasn't very organised in finding cameos (it's more fun than misc characters 😅 ), but then again that's probably realistic. Not every day is going to be a picturesque photo moment. Today just happen to be a busy day for male mothers to come visiting the hospital is all! 😆
Plus I also went a bit overboard trying to invent some new hospital wards / departments to put up all the extended signage for. There's probably even more not listed there, since this is only the signage for the maternity ward.
Feel free to offer amusing thoughts in the comments about this not-quite-normal array of signage or other hospital design / functionality musings 😜

Probably not! I think there's plenty of stuff I haven't thought to add that they might need. Like, macros who are also taurs will have to just make do with whatever the macro ward can accommodate. There's a lot of shapes and sizes, and not all of them are lucky enough to just lay eggs.
But also, eggs! I forgot to add an egg incubation room! I guess it's somewhere near where they keep all the newborns 😝

I'd imagine they'd only have to make special wards if there's a physical aspect that needs more specificity. So size is important. Macros and micros need same-sized rooms, equipment, hospital-staff, etc. Taurs need a bit more room and maybe some special chairs, etc.
The gendered wards are more generic, and are a bit like bathrooms… technically similar but slightly different in execution 😝

For when things are a little bit too late for the doctors to help out. The bad rep of general Necromancy does give a somewhat negative stigma towards the medical application of it though, as much as they try to keep everything nice and professional and hospital grade here. No surgeon wants to get a reputation for sending a lot of their patients there after all.
If they can get a patient there quick enough it tends to be more of just a gentle nudge that helps get the patient back into the realm of the living, where it's then a matter of regular medicine to get them the rest of the way better. There's also the Department of Post-Mortem Communications, for those that need to place a certain kind of phone call 😜
As stereotypical as the location is, the basement is admittedly a natural fit for the department… but it does tend to cause these sorts of… "ectomorphic issues" with the signage getting out of alignment… 😅

They certainly can! Especially when you can’t afford to buy your own expensive milking machine for your own home.
I assume there’s also “body spa” sort of businesses that offer this sort of help as well, for all sorts of individuals who need attending to but can’t afford various big machines at home… 😝
