got the Dark Angels veterens kit today. and someone just earnt himself a new pair of wings. so now ive promoted him to Master of my 1500 point army. which means ill need a new captain for my 1000 point army.

to my knowledge, the headwings only come in the veterens box.

plus i need some veterens anyhow. 2 birds, 1 bullet.

Granted, but I used the wings from one of the banner-pole-heads to decorate the Abolter of my Chaptermaster and the Psi-weapon of my Librarian

Make a captain with a meltagun, a flamer, and a bike, Now you have 2 long range shots, you can melt a tank, and take out a small squad by yourself.

i dont use bikes. in fact, i dont have any fast attack at all. its a very infantry heavy oriented army.

A partial breakdown of my army:

HQ: maxed out.
Troops: maxed out.
Fast attack: maxed out.
Heavy support: predator annihilator, devistator squad

I have two dev squads and then some ;3

One Metal, and one of the new Plastics.

The plastics are <3 and come with three extra heavy weapons. Safe to say I'm gonna have leftover Bolters XD

The true friends of any space marine army are the flamer and the heavy bolter. Anything that safely gets you extra shots each turn drastically turns battle in the marines favour.

No. Template weapons and multiple shots do the best damage. Followed by a chaplain with a pair of lightning claws + crozius arcanum + rosarius.

That can pretty much rip apart like 5 guys at once.

Yeah, but Bolter Marines count for something.

First: WOUND SPONGE

Second: Multiple Shots

Flamer Assault Marines are handy.
