Thought I would share this one.
Finally got ahold of a Rings module. However, the DIY build was wrought with pitfalls. Too many to go into detail.
Also, to complicate things, the package had one of the resistor values kitted wrong. This kept the module from initially powering on, and I had to go into a lot of troubleshooting to track down that it was in fact the *wrong* value. Once I got the resistor replaced with the correct one, everything works like a charm!
The module is really cool, and emulates "struck" instruments such as dulcimer, or plucked strings, wood blocks etc. Neat to play with.
However, I sent two emails to Synthcube about my issue and after a week the only response is a short "we are preparing a response" message. Probably won't be buying another kit from them anytime soon.
