so I sat down to spend some time with pencils today. And it was grand, I was pretty delighted with what I accomplished.

And then I tried to scan the thing.

Now for some reason, the insurance company decided that I could take the HP Photoscanner they offered (hey it's a photoscanner, how bad could it be) or $30 cash value for the canoscane Lide90 I used to have that was stolen.


All I have to say is what the fuck HP.... The bulb on the scanning arm can't maintain anything resembling consistency and even with the HP awesome™ software installed, it looks like it's been run through a photocopier with coffee stains a few dozen times.

So it looks like I'm stuck with digital art until I can buy a new canon scanner.
