‘Back off, Bone-Jerks!!’
“And another day in the jungle interrupted by the sudden appearance of these undead nuisances,… Of all the villains and monsters I face on the island the Boneheads are probably the ones I deal with the most,…
Walking armored skeletons created by the dark magics of the Necromancers, Bob and Pruney, these guys can be a real pain in my leaf-draped butt. It’s not that they are tough opponents,… well, I mean they are strong, and fierce warriors, but between my speed and my blades, and that the Boneheads aren’t very smart, I can make quick work of them most of the time.
There is no real trick to fighting them, just avoid their attacks, and hit them hard and fast, and keeping hitting until they stop getting back up. The only things to be careful of is not to let them surround you, and watch out for more,… when fighting Boneheads there are always more nearby, and if you’re not careful and small fight can become a big battle very quickly.
And speaking of, here come the rest, time to move,…”

At long last we finally see Ember’s most common foes in action, or more accurately getting their boney butts kicked by Ember thanks to
shonuff44’s color commission list.
This really is quite the fierce picture, I must say, and really does beautifully depict a typical battle between Ember and her skeletal foes. Ember’s ferocity is great here, those furrowed brows and gritted teeth as she battles, and how easily she seems to be dealing with them, slamming her spear into one, while slicing up another with her dagger. Such a great sense of motion not only from the swaying of her hair, which always looks great, but from her posturing and the motion lines you get a great feel of her weapons’ movement,.. it also shows off her battle prowess, wielding both her spear and dagger at the same time on two different opponents. As always I love the vibrancy of her leaves, as they sway from her motion, and that lovely tropical tan skin, and the detailing on her leaves and flowers is great, I love how ‘fluffy’ the flowers of her belt look. And of course the Boneheads are wonderfully done, while they certainly have a great ‘generic thug’ feel to them, as well they should, the detailing of their bones, shields and armor is great,… from the scratches and nicks on the metal, to the frayed edges of the cloth, to the fur trim, they are really nicely done. I particularly likely how you can see the vague silhouettes in the background of more of the skeletal warriors arriving to join the fight, giving a great feel to how these undead never travel alone, as their greatest strength is their numbers. And while the motion lines of her weapons were mentioned, I really like the strength the weapons seem to have here, the dagger slicing right through one, while her spear hits with enough force to knock another back and off his feet, and very nice touch. Quite the magnificent battle here, to be sure.
Thank you for this awesome picture, ShoNuff44. :D

And we see Ember going up against her very common, and seemingly never-ending and mindless enemy, the Boneheads ;). May not be great alone, but are a problem in numbers as seen ;). Really nice battle pic Sho has done :). And to see Ember using both her spear and her small knife against them really goes to show her spear wouldn't be enough, great reason to use both ;). I especially like the expression of the Bonehead at the back, when it's hand gets cut and is reeling back, almost like a live person would screaming XD . Overall, I really like how this looks, and really amazing pic :)
Indeed, I figured it was about time to show them off abit. Yeah, their numbers are definitely their strength, and a really nice picture indeed. True, though it also shows her skill in wielding both at once. Glad you like it, that is a nice touch, and yeah, it seems that way. Glad you like it. :)
Really great stuff with this pic! Gotta love some good action with Ember, with this showing off her being able to multitask at taking down those Boneheads, stabbing on, and cutting another with her knife. Not to mention just how great she looks in that action pose. Not to mention the Boneheads looking really nice, while not too visible, it is nice to see all of them, with the one behind her clearly reaction to getting his hand cut off, plus including some magic on it is a nice touch. The story is great as well, giving us a nice overview of who they are, what Ember thinks of them, and how she goes about beating them, as well as showing that Ember is able to realise when way to much are showing up, and she has to run. Another great pic!
Glad you like it, and yeah, it has some great action, and really shows her ability to fight off multiple foes at once, both with her spear and knives, and she does look great. The Boneheads do look really good, what can be seen of them, and yeah, the one getting sliced has a great reaction, while showing some of the magic that creates these skeletal foes. Thanks, I'm glad you like the story, this seemed a good opportunity to discuss what she thinks of them, and how she deals with them, and yeah, Ember knows very well that when more are on the way it's time to move. I'm glad you like it. :D
