Latrodectus geometricus (Brown Widow)
Same one from the video I posted last night.
I couldn't get many shots of her as she kept running back to the crack in the wood to hide from me. This was the only shot that really looked ok.
Also don't have my external flash operation al at the moment. No batteries!

very pretty though, the quality of the shot is amazing!
This one is no different.
It's bite is not known to be medically significant to humans, but it can be painful. However, they are very timid spiders and very rarely bite unless forced against skin or heavily harassed.
Their first instinct is to run or curl up into a ball.
yea.. that's true about most creatures, they fear us more than we fear them, but they won't hesitate to deffend themselves if they must
its got very cool markings. kinda like a snake skin.
Spidersilk screens would be pretty awesome though.
