Story Synopsis:

Princess Adalind is miserable. She's caught in an arranged marriage, kept apart from the woman she loves, and can't even study magic openly for fear of being branded a wicked enchantress. But her problems reach a whole new level when she runs afoul of the Dark Sorceress, Phaedra, who is everything Adalind has vowed never to be. As she finds herself being pulled under the witch's spell, though, she has to wonder, is being a plaything of the Dark Sorceress really so bad? And could it be that Phaedra isn't all her reputation says she is?

Character Introduction:

"A mysterious figure who haunts the castle that shares her name, deep in the Forest of Anne. Apparently an ancient Vosrian princess, she has a shared history with Phaedra, which both are reluctant to share with strangers."

Val's Notes: For the enigmatic Vehilda, we wanted to give her a detached and mysterious quality with a formal gown drawing inspiration from both Tudor and Gothic sources. Given Vehilda's role in the story, we went with dark somber colours and deep shades to give her a heavy presence to counter her airy and dreamlike qualities.
