Do it :P
My cheetah characters, the twins Lue’maar (left) and Ti’maar (right). Lue’ just wants to hang out, seems cool right? I wonder why Ti’ seems so concerned about you joining him…
I’ve actually been making some changes to Lue’maar as a character. Trying to make him less cartoon-villain evil and just more of a normal person level of bad XD More details will come later, I actually started work on his ref sheet, that will be pretty much the exact same as his identical twin Ti'maar's ref sheet. Adapting the figure drawings and background and changing up the details and clothing for Lue’. Might be a while before it is done though!

Hahaha "normal person level of bad"
I wont EVER stop saying how much I love the colors and designs. EVER. (melts me every single time). In that regard, I FULLY support the decision of doing more colored pics like this instead of shading. Because not only are much more alive, but as you say, the shading can go on the more refined art. From my part at least, shading is not a must at all to achieve the hypnotic effects of your felines have on many. Besides, I think pics like this one, are much closer to being comic style than taking the perfectionist approach on them (indeed that can go easy on fine art). ...well and hopfully like you say, it will allow you to expand the world building with little frames like this one, on a faster, or chillful manner. They are so much fun to see, and I can bet they are fun to make as well.
If you say they take about the same time, it´s only reasonable to set this style as the perfect work-result balance to work with. (is the better preference over any other variation if you ask me)
I see Lue’maar dose have a similar necklace to his brother. (I remember Ti’maar useing the bone chocker one, and this red one here, but had not seen the later on Lue’maar yet) Love those little changes. Like, I know they are cats and are very comfy with very little on them, but they do have their little jewel box for a change. ...well, you know ...wealthy cats anyway.
Also, I adore how this frame tells quite a lot about their personalities, I mean they are twins, but there is always some evil differences right? XD
...Oh, and you can so much hear the raspy big cat voice making such an invitation. (mind wonders ...exquisite proposal haha)
Anyway, cheers for yet another day made better by cheets.
Keep it up. You are the best!

...And here we have an outgoing twin who's all 'Let's have a party!' and an introverted twin who's like 'What, I'll have to someone? Please no!' :D
...Okay, I know that it's not what made Ti'Maar have such a reaction, but the joke was impossible to resist. ;P
Btw, Lue' looks so amazingly villain-esque there, a halfway between seductive and scary - I applaud you! :)
