Dizi is one of five pups born to Maua and Yousuf, the dominant couple of the Udevu Mob at the time. Her father's time as the dominant male was short-lived as not long after Dizi and her littermates were born, Yousuf was overthrown by her uncle Zahor.
After reaching adulthood, Dizi ends up attracting the attention of Babi, a roving male from the Leza. Dizi was immediately drawn to the attractive male, but Babi had no intentions of settling down with any females and left her as soon as the deed was done, leaving Dizi to think of what could've been. After becoming pregnant, the Udevu suffered a group split, with Dizi taking control of one half and her mother Maua taking control of the other. Dizi was a rather poor leader in the splinter group, always on edge and alarmed at the sight of harmless animals. Her time as leader was short-lived as she was later overthrown by her older half-sister Badriyah, but her time as leader was very brief as well as after the two halves of the Udevu reunited, Badriyah was ousted from the mob after losing to her mother in a mashindano.
After the Udevu was whole again, Dizi gives birth to her pups. She was still young and was inexperienced in caring for pups, and she struggled to bond with her newborns as they were a reminder of the meerkat who played her for a fool. And on top of that, her mother Maua wasn't fond of the Udevu now having more mouths to feed as the group was too large already due to two of Dizi's older sisters bearing pups in previous months. When Maua leads the group to a new burrow one day, Dizi's newborn pups are left behind by accident. After arriving at the new burrow and realizing that her children were nowhere to be seen, Dizi and her half-sister Moza run back to the old burrow to retrieve them only to find that they had already died. Dizi was torn up by this and Moza tries her best to console her before the two of them head back to the new burrow. While heartbroken by the loss of her two pups, Dizi vows to become more experienced in looking after pups to prevent this from ever happening again.
After her family are kicked out of their old territory by the savage Komandoo, Dizi ends up becoming pregnant again after she and her littermate sisters Malene and Raquell are visited by Zama roving males in their new territory. By then Dizi had grown more mature and gained more experience in pup-rearing since her first litter and felt that she was truly ready to mother her own pups. And Maua was willing to accept them as well, as she had recently miscarried her own litter and the Udevu was running low on members in recent months due to a few meerkats leaving to find breeding opportunities elsewhere. She and her sister Malene give birth to a mixed litter of eight, and Maua later ends up dying to protect them from a snake.
After the death of their mother, Dizi's sister Raquell becomes the new leader of the Udevu. Malene later ends up taking part of the group with her to start a new mob after being fed up with her sister's antics, while Dizi ended up remaining with Raquell. Dizi doesn't always agree with Raquell's decisions as leader, and at one point she ends up challenging her sister to a mashindano, believing that she could lead the mob better than her. Dizi loses and is forced to leave the Udevu as a result, but a handful of subordinate females who had sided with her end up following her into exile.
Dizi and her sisters later end up encountering a male named Umlotha and his two nephews Berko and Gijima, who had taken to a life of roving following a disease outbreak in their birth mob. Umlotha and Dizi of them get to know each other and end up becoming mates, and after Dizi bears a litter of pups they name their new mob the Baobab. The mob occasionally encountered the Udevu while out foraging, and during one of these encounters she learns that Raquell had since died and her niece Sofia was now the dominant female, and she was doing a good job of leading from what she heard. The Baobab had very few encounters with their mob of origin after that, but Dizi was content that her mother's legacy was now being carried on by a very worthy leader.
Dizi leads the Baobab for several years before being killed by a bird of prey, after which one of her daughters succeeds her as the new dominant female.
Dizi is a combination of Super Furry Animal, who played Daisy in the first two seasons of Meerkat Manor, and her younger half-sister Cruise, who went on to found a now lost mob called the Baobab. Ubuntu's dominant female Daisy (one of the stars of Rise Of The Dynasty) originally came from the Baobab, so I thought it would be kinda funny to connect that Daisy to the original Daisy.
