Eventually Maria gave up on her spear fishing so collected some water in her bucket and started making her way back to the cabin. Once there, she emptied the water into a storage barrel and started on her way back for another bucket full. The walk wasn't that long but after 4 trips carrying a full bucket of water she took a break and rested at the water's edge. Taking her shoes off and placing her feet into the cool water.
Splashing around a bit before laying back on the grass. It was nearing noon by this time and she couldn't ignore her growling stomach. She had skipped breakfast to help stretch her provisions but once returned with the next bucket of water she would need to eat at least some of them. She closed her eyes with a sigh and just enjoyed the moment. The cool water and gentle breeze felt so pleasant.
