Smaller target or maybe just a stranger one to hit, flexibility like this sure would make it more confusing to predict their movements in combat. Though with how cute they are, hard to reason why anyone would want do harm them
The radiance and glow of those monochromatic blue lasers is some fancy coloring. No easy feat to make nonrendered CGI stuff look this good and realistic. It's got all the tricks to back it up as well. Like the shine in their eyes and the highly saturated illuminated surfaces on their body from the directional light. Sells the effect and makes everything look way more intense.
Speaking of complex illumination, the outfit is really cool. Not a simple one piece that's for sure. Lot of different kinds of surfaces and textures. I find it funny that despite how little clothing a lot of the charters in your art and commissions have you really have a knack for complex garments. Such as on your cute lion adoptable and displayed here.
