Oh geez, I see one of those things and I badly want to play it! That looks like a 32' Contrabourdon or something in the façade. Looks great and I bet it sounds just as great!.

It did have a robust and penetrating sound. But I don't think the organist ever pulled out all the stops while we were there. Too bad. I'd love to give this a whirl too! What would you play on it?

I would do an improvisation of some sort that would allow me to try many individual stops and just explore as many sounds as I could in a small amount of time.

*nods* How long have you been playing organ? My choir director is still a college student and he says he practices three hours a day just to do what he can do.

I am also a college student, however I am not studying organ, I am studying composition. I honestly should practice 3 hours a day but I practice about an hour a day on average. I self taught myself improvisation (still working on it). My dream is to play a 32' Bombarde and Bourdon (not the fake ones my organ has). I just LOVE the sound of organs, as well I love church and my religion; so it is a perfect combination. I am glad there are people like you that appreciate that kind of thing.

I was a music minor in college with a focus on piano performance although my real love was composition. What sort of stuff are you writing?
