This is the first of now nine screenplays i've written for a concept called Sonic Freedom Fighters.

As some of you in the know might already ken, Sonic Freedom Fighters is the brainchild of acclaimed animator Matt Sullivan or 'Mysterious Animator X' as he's sometimes known. His work includes storyboards for both The Simpsons and The Grimm Adventures of Billy and Mandy. According to forum posts, Sullivan was interested in a modern day reboot of the Sonic animated series, applying the more mature aspects of the comic series to it such as the Mobius war and the grim conditions of Sonic and his freedom fighters; 'cuts, scratches and bruises' in his own words. Fan backlash seems to have doomed the project however and last I heard Sullivan has suspended the show which would have been called Sonic Freedom Fighters.

Ever one to hitch my wagon to a star I wrote up screenplays and edited several trailers on my Youtube page illustrating what I thought the idea of an old school Sonic show might be. I kept the name Freedom Fighters for my own efforts and proudly dedicate any and all to both Matt Sullivan for originating the concept and to the recently deceased SATAM writer Ben Hurst, who likewise felt that Sonic could do more then run fast and collect rings.

He and his fellows could tell real stories.

So here's my attempt to reinvigorate the current franchise by remembering the past. You'll recognize several references to every reiteration of Sonic there's been: the game series, the US and UK comics, the animated shows...and yes I threw in a reference to YTP XD

Anyway I hope its enjoyable to new fans and old and if people are interested I'll post more :)
