I got the inks and flat colors on Ruby today.

and she gave me a very firm answer that the darker stripes were better. After a little more deliberation with myself, I agree.
For anyone wondering, Ruby got her name for her eyes.
Hopefully I'll be using her and the rest of my characters in works to come.
