Marksmanship skills are prized so highly within Kherrigal forces that any officer worth their salt is expected to be able to hit at range with a pistol what their nearest subordinate can manage with a rifle. Sufficed to say, a high-ranking officer alone in the middle of a battlefield with nothing but a sidearm is a far bigger threat than it may seem.
