I learnt about the hollow fur when a polar bear in a zoo turned green because it got algae from its swimming pool up the tubes. And polar bear/grizzly hybrids are often called pizzlys which is such an adorable name. It's an unfortunate result of climate change as the two bears are pushed closer together and then, well, do the thing. :D
