It's Fat Fiend Friday, you know what that means: big monster butts, courtesy of Lucifer Dominicus himself.
I wonder what will draw more attention, big demon butt or egregious abuse of the Latin language lmao.

Hey, I don't mind that you like these! I used to spend a lot of time drawing "fat cartoon animal shows their big butt" art and maybe it's something I should get back into sometime.
I don't find your interest in these to be a problem, and I don't think you've ever acted or commented in any way that would make me uncomfortable or even think "what possessed you to post this comment", don't worry! If anything, I should be asking myself why I think it's a good idea to post about 90% of the things I post...

I seem to lack "identity" as an artist and I think that actually hurts me in the long run--the successful artists (in terms of engagement metrics such as watchers, comments, views and faves) seem to be the ones that draw one subject matter. I vary my posting up, though, and I can't seem to stay above 360 watchers here for more than a week as a result. Am I a "fat animals in underwear" artist, or a "fat animals in diapers" artist, or a "babyfur" artist, or just some boring normie posting portraits and world-building stuff nobody cares about? My fetish posting scares off normie watchers, while not going far enough to keep the fetishists engaged, and my art of buildings and vehicles and characters just being cute or going about their lives bores the fetishists into leaving while also not being good enough to keep casual viewers engaged. I'm honestly not sure what to do about that, and for the longest time I've just posted everything I draw because that's what I wanted to do, but as time has gone on I've lost most of my motivation and at this point having some idea what people like and want to see would give me a bit of direction at least.
As for commenting, you're right to be a bit cautious. I think a bit of restraint is a good thing in general and it's a good idea to get to know an artist and their limits before getting too lewd or lustful while commenting. Personally, I'm fine with a bit of suggestive and risqué commentary but usually draw the line at outright lewd, crude, and "creepy" comments. I know some people are far more reserved or even prudish than I am, while quite a few seem to have no limits at all. Not sure if there's any way to tell, though, so I'd suggest proceeding with caution in general.

That's unfortunate, but some artists do get a lot of creepy comments and probably get overwhelmed. There have been a few cases over the years on various art sites where I've had to tell people off or even block them for repeatedly being creepy, but I find the best way to handle those sort of comments for the most part is to either deflect with humor or ignore it.
That said, I hardly find someone saying a character looks nice or is attractive to be "creepy" in any way, and I honestly appreciate hearing that sometimes.
