A custom zoid based off the various ligers from the Zoids animated series. Created using Lego's Digital Designer. Composite pic created using Gimp. Haven't really thought up stats for this zoid yet, and may revisit it and do some redesign. Overall, pretty happy with how it turned out considering it was my first try at building a custom zoid using LDD. Has a lot of points of articulation built into it. Would love to actually buy the pieces to create it, but alas, the whole thing would cost about $800 in real life :( No idea just how many pieces i actually used to create this beast.
Eventually I'd like to create zoid versions of some of my alt forms. Also might upload some of the other lego projects i've designed using LDD...

the only reason Zoids didn't hit it big in america is that they tried to market it as a cartoon, that was a really bad idea, and yes IGPX only lasted 2 seasons but during those 2 seasons it stayed firmly in the top 10 and then for some reason its funding was cut before they could release the first episode of season 3.
Pretty much. You can download the program for free from lego's website:

Once you install the program you can start building. Though they don't give you all the bricks available, or all the color options, but overall it allows you to build almost anything you want. You can download pre-built models that other people have created and build off them, or else create whatever you want from the ground up. LDD is a bit annoying at times for brick placement and such, but overall it's a fun program to work with.
LDD also allows you to buy all the bricks you used in your model, as well as design a box for it and even produce building instructions for your model. Though I think they may be a bit overpriced for custom models and such if you go that route.

Might I ask what IGPX is? I too am a huge fan of mecha anime and I would like to know what this is. I have some anime that, if you like sub versions, are some of my favs. Here is the list: Zoids, (All 4 seasons.) Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, (It takes about 3 or 4 episodes before it gets good, but it is GOOD!) Full Metal Panic!, and Eureka Seven. Also Ghost in the Shell and Mahoromatic are good by they really just focus on androids instead of "mechs." (Also Mahoromatic has full frontal FEMALE nudity, though it is used "tastfully.")
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IGPX wiki article on the series. Basically a high-speed race/combat between teams of three members using robots that kind of turn into race vehicles
