I'm not too familiar with MtG, card games aren't my thing outside of the art. That said I did take a lot of inspiration from some from some MtG/DnD art by Anna Podedworna. Specifically "Vampire of the Dire Moon" and "Van Richtens Guide to Ravenloft"

Both excellent works, but yeah, Innistrad: Midnight Hunt and Crimson Vow are their latest sets which is basically werewolves versus vampires, so that is why it is so familiar.
MtG has so much good art and lore behind it, but the two inspirations would explain why it felt like it was referencing the recent sets.

Yeah, I got it was more complex than that, but....a group of Vampires did crash the ritual at the Celestus to stop them from rebalancing the day/night cycle leaving the plane in eternal night. So I have a feeling that while the marriage is the primary story, that how the factions interact is going to come into play. We will see where it goes.
