"Hey, Kate! Wait up!" Chelsea called out after stuffing another wad of wrappers into a nearby trash can. She turned to quickly walk after the chunky ninja who had silently moved ahead again. Kate had almost reached the next house.
"We'd make better time to the party if you didn't keep eating everything between houses. I can't believe you made me park so far away again."
"Kate," Chelsea rolled her eyes, "they're giving away candy. Free candy! Plus I don't want to have to carry it once we're there."
Kate looked towards Chelsea as she turned her bag upside down in emphasis. A lone wrapper fell out and drifted towards the ground only for Kate to snatch it out of the air. A ninja wouldn’t leave any evidence and she’d rather not let Chelsea litter. Kate’s eyes drifted towards Chelsea's exposed gut. It already seemed bigger than when they got out of the car.
"You're still carrying it though."
Chelsea only stuck her tongue out in response.
Kate sighed, "Just don't overdo it. You promised to be the designated driver on the way back."
"Don't worry, you know me." Chelsea winked before by haltingly singing: "Come with me, you'll be free, to indulge, in a world, of pure intoxication."
Kate snorted.
Chelsea made a sharp turn towards another house, "Now come on, this place looks fancy."
