Falling; the very first thing Percy noticed after opening his eyes, descending through the sky at speeds he knew he wouldn’t survive an impact from. As he fell he couldn’t help but notice a loud booming not too far away from him, glancing over for a moment to see a large group of storm clouds.
It was these clouds that he assumed were the source of the sounds… but there was something else, something inside the mass of condensation he couldn’t quite identify, only visible through the shadows of each bolt of lightning. By this point he had begun to notice the ground below him approaching as he begins bracing himself for his inevitable impact, angling himself with his back to the plains below. Moments later he finally touched down, closing his eyes barely a second before he hit the ground, only when they opened again he wasn’t met with the sight of the pearly gates ahead of him or some other form of afterlife, instead waking up in a dark, wet, slightly soft chamber of sorts, revealing the fall had merely been part of a nightmare. Taking a few moments to process the situation and try to figure out where he was before a loud gurgle fills his ears and reminds him of what had happened to him hours before, and where he ended up because of it; a fox’s stomach.
After being clued into his current situation, a part of Percy’s mind couldn’t help but feel more than terrified and wonder what’s going to happen to him now, only for the rest of his mind to be diverted onto a much bigger question, wondering why he was alive right now and how the massive vulpine hadn’t turned him into pudge yet. Not long after he began thinking he’d hear a slight yawn from his captor, followed by a good amount of squeezing and swaying as she rolls over onto her feet, greeting him in an oddly kind voice in contrast to her previous behaviour. “Good morning, human.”
Percy had remained silent for a moment before responding, slightly hesitantly, as evidenced by his stutter. “Uh, g-good morning?…”
“I just wanted to try and apologize for the scare and, well… you know.” She responds, rubbing her belly with one of her front paws before continuing, “I would’ve told you, but you’d already passed out by then.”
For a moment he couldn’t help but feel stunned, seeming even more confused than before. “W-what do you mean? Would’ve told me what?” He didn’t seem to understand why she was apologizing, thinking it was only to try and keep his hopes up only to pull the rug out from under him.
It didn’t take long for the fox to answer, quickly putting most of his confusion aside. “Well I was going to try and get you to calm down and tell you that I was just sort of teasing you, but again; by the time I was going to tell you, you were out cold.”
By this point most of Percy’s fear had turned to a slight annoyance, being sure not to raise his voice at her too much so he could try and keep himself calm, being only partly successful in that regard due to the situation. “Teasing?! You ate me for Pete’s sake! I wouldn’t really qualify that as teasing, and if it really was then why didn’t you at least greet me first and ask about it before you went all Hannibal Lector on me?!”
By this point the fox’s tone was beginning to shift from her previous soft, friendly voice to one that more resembles annoyance and anger, trying her best to convince the human that she wouldn’t provide any sort of danger to him. “Look I’m sorry, alright?! I don’t see humans that often, I’m not exactly perfect at determining what people are feeling.”
A moment of silence followed as the two realize the growing amounts of irritation between them, taking a deep breath each in hopes of calming themselves down and not end up escalating things further. This would end up working to a degree as both individuals begin to feel the tension ease off, the silence being broken with a simple, soft-spoken request from the human; “You think you can let me back out then?…”
“Sure, not like there’s much reason for me to keep you in there right now anyway.” The massive vulpine’s voice came in to reply almost as soon as he finished, followed by the space around him beginning to tighten and squeeze the human back up into her throat, squelching and stretching quite a bit in his travels, only to end with him sliding out onto his bedroom floor. He’d lay there for a few moments to just breathe, filling his lungs with the much cooler - or at least room temperature - air outside her fluffy form, the change in temperature being almost immediately noticeable, not to mention the saliva covering him aiding with the decrease in heat.
Once a few moments had passed and he had cooled down to his liking, Percy would get up off the floor and take a look at his temporary captor, finally letting himself get a better sight of her soft beauty; her fur coloured a nice, dark purple with a few lighter shades to outline the patterns on her fur, having a sort of midnight blue to give contrast with the purple while also making sure it’s not too drastic of a change.
It wasn’t long before his visual investigation of her fur turned to more of a physical one as she walks over to him and curls around Percy gently, forcing him into some much warmer cuddles prompted by a slightly chilled trembling from the human, earning a barely noticeable blush as he snuggles back after seeing no other options.
“You know, I never quite got your name… you mind telling me? Just so I don’t have to call you ‘Human’ all the time.” She asks politely, smiling about as warm as her fur while he satisfies her curiosity.
“My name’s Percy, and you are?…” He responds in an equally polite tone, returning her warm smile.
“Vanessa, it’s nice to meet you… sorry again for the scare.”
“It’s nice to meet you too, and don’t worry about apologizing, besides; could’ve been a lot worse I suppose.”
“Yeah, I guess you’re right.” She says while giving him a few extra cuddles, glad that Percy had forgiven her for last night’s events, proven further by the feeling of his hand running along her body in a string of soft pets and scritches, much to Vanessa’s pleasure as a low purr begins emanating from her, letting them continue their little cuddle session for a bit longer. By the time that Percy had gotten bored of petting her it had already been known that they were both feeling a bit tired, the duo passing out together still in a tight snuggle, the purring from Vanessa being the only sounds to be heard for the next while, helping keep the human in his sleepy state and get him some rest.

And here you all go! Part Two for An Eventful Night Out, definitely took a while to get here but hey; better late than never I suppose. Hope to improve upon my writing as I go, let’s see how my future projects go!
