Like the aircraft drawings I uploaded prior to this one, this is not a real aircraft. But there are two points of difference. 1-It's not my design, and 2-It almost DID become a real aircraft!
So why is it that not even a single F1-X ever took to the air? That is because there already was an aircraft available whose performance matched that (which was expected) of the F1-X; the McDonnel-Douglass F-15 Eagle. Thus, there was no need to create a new aircraft completely from scratch, and the Japanese Government saved a fortune in potential development and production costs.
Who ever said you'd never learn any relevant to the real world on FurAffinity?

lol, when i seen it, I forgot all about that comment. But yeah thats why most stealth designs now look similar to the Raptor's, cause it works. But people seem like they cant get that, all I hear is "they are copying us" when its really, "they are copying the design cause its the most cost effective and provides the best stealth as of now in a fighter design." but what do you expect from the youtube type. they really beleave there is nothing else out there to better the raptor unless it has stealth, but I really think some nations have some good ideas on how to counter that thought.
True that.
Stealth is HIGHLY overrated. British warships that supported Operation Granby (the UK's contribution to Operation Desert Storm) in 1991 watched F-117 Nighthawks fly to and from their missions from hundreds of miles away --- the older "E-band" radar sets on those ships had no trouble coherently detecting and tracking the so-called "stealth" aircraft.
Worse, though, are aircraft that make many compromises in their performance and development potential in order to achieve this "pearl of high price" --- the F-22 and F-35 come to mind.

yeah, lol. I think if they were to ditch trying to make it seem like the F-35 is total stealth, and stop ,making the Raptor seem like its unbeatable and actually use the thing in combat, then things ight be ok, but no, the raptor is unproven, and the Lightning 2 is having problems and drawbacks. and also is I think it isnt fulfilling any specific role by the USN, the only light strike aircraft i can remember was the Skyhawk, and it was an attack, ut had good range with drop tanks. I dunno, maybe we need to see what happens when they go into production or into action then judge them. I would also like to see how the Su-35Bm would do *if it even sells* or any of the other cariants out there *specially the MKI* Ive heared too many stories of the Typhoon vs Raptor debate, but I have no other info of that other than themindless ramblings of the idiots on youtube
