Research suggests that the generation of these rats may be an incursion from another dimension; thus, true containment is considered impossible. However, once the rats have formed, standard physical containment should be considered.
The rats broadcast two low-power radio signals which slowly shift in frequency. The first broadcasts a near constant stream of music; while some songs have been identified, others are completely unknown and sometimes presesnt in undecipherable languages.
The second signal broadcasts a classic "numbers station" where a male voice reads off numbers. The recording sounds live, based on subtle variations in timing and tone. This signal is occasionally interrupted by short bursts of digital signal.
Despite the low power of these signals, they have been known to be picked up by many devices not thought to be standard radio signal receivers such as cellphones and modern televisions.
