Next on my list of Halloween Commanders are two new but high on my list of favorites. One works with a mechanic I enjoyed seeing, Goad, and the other is the Werewolf Commander I always wanted and finally got. But first, a bit of background on these two you've seen before.

Ruslan the vampire lord had used his powerful charms to mesmerize and dominate the unlucky vampire hunter Jaecar. However, he decided that he was bored, and so rather than keep the strong wolf as his hypnotized slave for the rest of his life, he let Jaecar return to his home, and, posing as a normal mortal, managed to first befriend, then (figuratively) charm the lone wolf into a date. They hit it off, and Ruslan for the first time felt an actual bond with someone he had taken as his thrall. He found himself falling in love with the rough, but honorable wolf, and eventually worked up to the idea of them living together. It was only after that that he revealed who he was and what he had done to Jaecar.
Surprisingly, Jaecar was by this point perfectly okay with it. He'd seen the kind of man Ruslan was too, and knew him to not be an evil, world-dominating megalomaniac as the legends had put him up to be. And he had subconsciously come to the realization that being dominated and fed from, especially be the shorter Ruslan, was pretty hot.
So they became a true couple, now bonded both as boyfriends and as Master and Slave. Jaecar gave Ruslan the nickname Lev, and they've been together ever since.
He's been getting Lev up to speed on modern culture, and Halloween was one that piqued his interest. So they went in costume on a date, and the two of them are a bit shy about it, but they just can't keep their hands off each other.

Lev has gone as Marisi, Breaker of the Coil. As the nacatl (leonin or lion-man) that destroyed his society's monolith that contained the Coil, their laws, as a symbolic and actual act of rebellion, he managed to split their society into his allies and those that held to the old ways. Not the best man, but had for the most part good intentions. Kinda. Okay not really. He sought power and was manipulated by a big evil dragon into doing what he could to sow chaos in preparation of a massive upheaval of their world, but he's also cool, his card is cool, and his actions influenced the history of the multiverse in ways that I could ramble on for a long time. But here Lev went because he thought Marisi looked cool and the idea seemed to make Jaecar interested, so away to make his costume he went. And based on that hug and blush, he was successful.

Jaecar meanwhile is Tovolar, Dire Overlord. The current alpha of the werewolves of Innistrad, Tovolar seeks to use the current imbalance of day and night to cause an eternal Midnight Hunt for himself and his pack. A night that never ends and never forces them to return to their weaker human forms. He's been pretty successful so far, only failing to take the place where humans were trying to restore the balance, but we still don't know if it will forever be like this or not yet. But for Jaecar, the same principle applied. Lev seemed interested in the clothing, or lack thereof. So of course he went as it to please his Master, but also because he liked the idea. And to see his Master in those clothes... how could he not hug him? He's so handsome!
