Oh dear, I see where this'll lead...
I've made a three-headed Pokemon OC called Rainseia (pronounced Rain-Say-ah, in case you're wondering.) A couple times, I did things to hir that resulted in hir no longer being a three-headed being.
one time, I split hir into three bodies controlled by one mind, another time, I made hir a normal (albeit shiny) Vaporeon.
Both these incarnations never quite made it to the same level of popularity as hir original form. I'm not saying my watchers liked Rainy more for what shi was rather than who shi is, but I'm also not totally denying it...
