Her original feral design was made by my bestie
Zelendur ! This one is her sad mood version.
Since Shenmi is especially there to give my depression a face, it was clear that she needed a sad mood version as her otherwise happy colours didnt quite fit. Her design is just too beautiful, so of coure the basis is right. The flowers and greens on her antlers are withered and dying and getting brown.
Shenmi is a timid and quiet character. She is shy, she keeps her distance but she is friendly when approached. While my fursona Molly presents the way I want to be, Shenmi is more true to myself. While I am quite open via social media, I find myself being quite shy in person. I need some time to get warm to people and I'm very awkward if people dont seem to like me.
Shenmi has different versions, depending on her mood. This is due to the fact that I have been struggling with depression for a long time now, and my emotions are kind of hard to fathom sometimes. So I want her to be open about her emotions, making it easy for others to see what is going on.
I love her feral original design, but I'm too stupid to draw it myself, which is why I had to finally draw her a proper anthro design. I think I like how it turned out.
