Subject: A woman spins the wick for a candle from the cotton up
Materia Artistica: Koh-i-noor tech pens
Reffernces: gods the spinners i know if they read this will kill me but the spinny thing was real and the hair was Art Nouveau inspired but for the life of me i cannot think of the damn spinny things name
Notes: From a book project from C.R.O.C. press (and no i am not making this shit up. i once confronted him on the usage of croc as a anagram and he said it was his initials and that was that.... but then considering he still owes me 700 bucks for it oh well) The author not only writes on this stuff he also teaches it. Like sweat shop production line stuff and i earned journeyman in the guild before some miscommunication a large debt and some bad blood ended the whole thing. which is sad really. But anyway he tought a lot on cnadles and really really really knew his shit! i leanred so many candle making techniques it boggles the mind. i can braid my own wicks and know various mineral salt solutions to soak them in for better burn (they do nto do that with most modern candles and that is what you get extra wick sometimes and sometimes the wicks burn out quick. there are a lot of tricks to the candle making game and a LOT of differnt waxes and formulas and awesome history behind it all. Anyway i never got to spin my own wicks cuase i did not have the stuff to do it and i had borrowed the spinny thing to draw from. Someday i think since he seems to have retired from selling and teaching at Pennsic and none of his other guild masters seem to want to step up to the task i shall once again take up the art and dip mold and pour my way into candleness again.
