I'm very pleased with how this came out!--albeit, the editing took me a while. ^^;
Luckily, I was assisted in that area by
Jerichowing and
Scier--the latter being quite the poet himself! =D
I found this piece to be far more poetic then my usual ones; it's chock full of fervent emotion, and revolves around an element of my favorite topic of all...Nature. =3
I do hope you all enjoy!
Until next poem! \(^o^)/

Wow friggin aewsome xP perfect meter. love the alliteration in some parts =P just one inquiry though!
A somewhat selfish act, I know,
for never does she ask(s) the ones
below if they have need of her,
if ever should their faces run.
I assume it's a typo but i dunno it doesn't feel like it's right right grammatical form D: I could be wrong though

Well, that's quite the comment from you, my friend; thank you! x3
As for that teensy inquiry, yeah, it nagged at me when I first wrote it down (so you're not the only one skeptical), but...I'm sure it's correct. (o.o)
Hmm, it could be because of the way I'm using it....*CLICK*!!
Found it: it's the "does." Because I'm using that verb too, I need to use "ask" without the "s." It's like saying:
1.) She sings.
~as opposed to~
2.) She does sing.
Hehe, I use verb phrases like that all the time too, but "to ask" is just a tricky verb. Good call, Riddle! *hugs tight* ^^

Oh my god!!! D-tail, D-tail, D-tail... does your excellence know no bounds?! :P This is most definitely an insta fav for me, and such a pleasant read, and I totally feel the same! I have always loved the rain and never really thought it to be something sad. I love the sound, the slight cool from it, even the way it leaves the air so fresh~! Best thing to do in it is dance :D
Hehe, what a passionate comment! =D
I'm glad you didn't think it was too long; though, I did imbue it with quite a bit of emotion, so, at the very least, I don't think it was a boring ride. x3
Seems I hit home with the concept: the rain can indeed be delightful, yes? Much obliged for the kind words, Nick! ^^

Wow I may have a new favorite poem from you! Difficult to say because all of them are so great, but this one is very nice.
I am always astounded how you can create such a flow with words. If you read this one out loud it flows right off the tongue. (I personally think you would be a wonderful song writer as well)
But what I like most of all about this poem is the character you put into it.
Keep up the great work. :)

What a truly inspiring comment, Jazz! =D
Hehe, I've often thought about how I would fair as a song writer; after all, poetry and lyrics are practically one and the same. ^^
So, this particular poem caught your eye and ear, eh? Well, I guess my attachment to it isn't for nothing! I'm glad you think it sounds so lovely when read aloud. I recited several of the lines aloud during the poem's creation to confirm my liking of them. There was a strange, yet wonderful passion stirring in me while writing this one. I especially love those poems fueled by such a force! \(^o^)/
But yes, character/personality is very important to me when writing the way I do. The majority of my poems may read the same way (due to the similar meters), but they always manage to set themselves apart from each other by means of subject approach. =3
Many thanks, dear Jazz! I do hope you've been well as of late. =)

Well, this here poetic composition was pretty emotional in itself, so it's a justified reaction, my friend. =D
Still, to know I was able to convey such emotions so strongly through words is quite a joy to hear, Leon; it must mean I'm doing something right! x3
Thank you very much for the wonderful comment. ^^

Well, this is certainly encouraging feedback, Rai! I'm glad that I could touch so many of my readers with a uniform emotion; it definitely means I'm doing something right. ;D
Indeed, rain has, overtime, inherited the connotation of melancholy, but I decided to bypass that common perception, portraying her as a benevolent maternal figure (though she's a daughter in this case). ^^
Thank you very much for the insightful comment, Rai! =D
And while I'm at it, how have you been? It would seem that school has been keeping everyone away from their artistic passions. =/

"and affecting my mind set when I do get the time to work on them with worries from school. So now it's hard for me to focus on my art like I used to during the summer."
Word for word, Rai. =/
I can totally sympathize with you; it's why I haven't been very poetically productive. ^^;
I wish you the best with all your studies, and your artwork too, of course. =O

'Twas a pleasure, I assure you, Napoleon! Haha, but careful now, my perspectives of nature are subject to oscillation; what I defend in one poem may very well be opposed in another. Not siding with one point of view keeps things fresh. ;D
And snow, eh? Hmm, perhaps sometime in the future. ^^
