I'd imagine a broom closet would be a pretty terrible place for someone with heightened sense of smell. Cleaning products aren't known for being friendly on the olfactory.

What would probably be a big twist is if it turned out one of his co-workers was a werewolf hunter and they were only pretending to be a fellow co-worker so they could learn more about his girlfriend and her werewolf pack as well as him so they could find the best time to catch him when he's transformed and either kill him or use him as bait for his partner!

i really dont understand the problem unless i missed it no one saw him start changing nor did they see him go in the closet so even as a wolf he can come out of the closet and just dash away with minimal risk?
