For those who don't know, Japanese write right to left and down the page on columns. The three kanji read yūgen, rikai, and souzouryoku. This translates to a profound sense of wonder of the world and universe around you, comprehension and understanding, and then the power of imagination. Basically; learn and appreciate the world for what it is, learn about how things actually work, and then ascend to the realm of imagination.

There is an old Japanese idiom '見ぬが花' or 'Not seeing is a flower', which basically means reality can never compete with imagination. My stories always approach things realistically even when involving something absolutely batshit insane. Everything has a rhyme and reason no matter how crazy, and that is why I selected these three words to write. The final ascent is into imagination, but to better utilize it and expand its capabilities, I try to understand how real things work first- so I can better imagine how things that don't exist will work.
