Problem is, with the price, you're getting a pretty bad emulator for N64, Sega games that have been around in multiple collections over the last few years one way or another and a DLC that you likely wouldn't play even if you had animal crossing since Happy Home Designer on 3DS sold like a lead balloon and I don't think they made ANY changes that gives it any meat on it's bones. Plus, once again, Nintendo is at least 5-10 years behind the curve with Online Multiplayer and servers.
I mean, at the end of the day it's your money and all, but there's so much better you could do with the extra 30-50$ you're paying into with a company who doesn't offer all that much in comparison to the online offerings they go out of their way to quash and not attempt to be on par with. I mean, for christ sakes, computer AND MOBILE emulators offer better performance than what's offered on NSO Expansion Pass.

Yyyyeah. Gotta admit nintendo is really getting greedy with it. And they're going to keep gatekeeping like this from now on I imagine. Just so they have excuses to go after roms even though all these systems games no longer exist on the market brand new that gives them money in sales. So HOW it harms nintendo if people pirate roms of games that no longer exist or are in production is beyond me. So the only way to get around that is to keep re-releasing them and this time its via a sub service you don't even get to own the games...nintendo is turning into something bad. You filthy peasants should have to pay for just the privilege to play these games, you will own nothing and be happy.
I'm still upset they changed the service from the ability to buy old video games (Like with the switch and 3ds) that you could keep around to the "games as a service" version.
I HATE "games as a service", I want to own the game and know that I have it pretty much forever from now on, like with BOF1/2 on the 3ds, not one where I have to infinitely keep subscribing to have access (like with the current switch paradigm).

And THAT'S the reason why I prefer older generation console gaming. No internet connection needed, no membership bs and NO pay-to-play bs whatsoever! Just pop the game in and play. I still have my original NES, SNES, Megadrive/Genesis, N64, PS2(I use it mainly for PS1 games) and Wii hooked up today. Granted, a lot of retro games tend to go for outrageous prices nowadays. But I was lucky enough to purchase a lot of my retro games and consoles before they became insanely valuable collector's items.
