"Rawr! Let's Do This!"
Chomper
Gender: Male
Age: 6
Species: Bigbiter Sharptooth (Tyrannosaurus Rex)
Affiliation: The Treestar Chasers
Biography:
The Sharptooth Raiders of the great beyond are merciless, constantly hunting, killing, in order to feed, however, the morality of the Sharptooth have been bought into question, do they truly enjoy their slaughter? or are they simply just trying to survive like everyone else? Chomper puts this question into a new light, when he was born he wasn't met with murder happy parents, but instead a loving family of Feathered Runners, turns out the baby Bigbiter had been orphaned ever since he was an egg, and was found by the eldest sibling of this family, Ruby, while out scavenging on her own one day. The Feathered Runners raised Chomper as if he were one of their own, and while he didn't exactly look the part, he quickly found solidarity and love among his strange family, joining his sister Ruby searching for supplies, playing with his younger siblings, or even sharing just having a family dinner together, everything seemed perfect, until... Red Claw arrived...
The vicious Sharptooth took almost everything Chomper and Ruby loved away from them, their home, their family, their old way of life, in just mere moments, it was all gone. Needing a new home, the duo headed for the Great Valley City, knowing it is the only place they could possibly be safe from Red Claw, while Ruby managed to smuggle Chomper in, it didn't take long for him to be stumbled upon by the leader of the Treestar Chasers, Littlefoot himself. This didn't exactly lead to the best start, lets just say a lot of running and screaming was involved, although after some explanation, and a little heart-to-heart talks, Chomper and Ruby were quickly accepted into the ranks of the Chasers! And for quite a while, Chomper remained hidden to the residents of the Great Valley, but eventually he had to be revealed to them, it took some time, but eventually, figuring that he was still young, they agreed that he would be allowed to stay, so long as he doesn't hurt anyone.
Although, Chomper is deeply unsure of his future, and what might happen when he grows older, will he be able to truly still stay with his friends? Or will his hunger and predatory instincts ultimately take over? causing him to hurt them and turn him into a monster? Is it truly in a Sharptooth's nature to become a mindless killing machine? It's not a though he likes to ponder on, and wishes there was a way to stay with his friends and what little family he has for as long as he lives, although until that day comes, Chomper will enjoy as much of his childhood as he can, and to tag along with his friends on any adventures!
Chomper continues to live as a resident of the Great Valley with his sister Ruby, as he's not longer as feared as he once was he is allowed to walk free without much discrimination, he's also taken up to learning the Sharptooth Language from a group of Nibbletooths (Compsognathus) living in the Great Valley, while still unsure of his future, Chomper hopes that he could at the very least find some place among the Leaf Eaters.
Skills:
Despite being only six years old, Chomper is surprisingly quite hardy, being a sharptooth has it's perks, and Chomper is much stronger than he looks, with strength comparable to Littlefoot, which while not the greatest, is still very strong for someone his age and size. And like any Sharptooth, Chomper delivers a deadly bite, which could cause you to lose a finger if you're not careful!
While a rather niche ability, Chomper is also surprisingly good at climbing, and can easily scale rock walls, trees, and even some tall structures like the antennas on top of buildings.
In this image, Chomper is running around a meadow, play fighting against imaginary enemies with his Axe.
Notes:
Fluffy Chomper! This has got to be the greatest thing I've ever made! So yeah, Chomper has feathers in this AU, although, feathers are a sign of immaturity among the bigbiters, it's basically a sign that this dinosaur has yet to hit puberty, and is still a child. So while he has them now, Chomper will gradually lose his feathers as he grows into his teens and eventually into adulthood.
Also, yes. That is a diaper he's wearing. I couldn't help it, he just looks so cute in one!

YAAAAAAYYYYYY!!! I'm sooooo glad you re-drew Chomper, he's one of the best characters ever! (*also hooray I got the first comment*)
Never seen a fluffy/furry version of Chomper before... I'm used to seeing furry raptors and such but this is unique. And as always, this little dino is super adorable in a diaper! A cloth diaper is especially fitting for the timeline.
This was a great surprise to my day. I can't wait to see Ruby if/when you get around to drawing her, as she is a close friend to Chomper in the series.

D'aww! And I'm glad you could not help putting a diaper on him. If anything, given his backstory, I would believe wearing a diaper would serve as a means of 'grounding' himself when his mind may wander too deeply into the 'what ifs' his future holds. (It is scary when you are the first to be a part of a particular group that, until your arrival, everyone only knows that which has been passed along in 'labelling' you before 'you' even get a chance to illustrate whether-or-not the rumors, theories, etc. are 100% fact.).

Chomper sounds like he would be a great buddy to ride on top of Ruby while out and about. He could use his sniffer and eyesight to help spot danger along with potential areas of interest Ruby may not see while dashing along. If needed, Chomper could dismount Ruby to execute a potentially deadly biting attack to an incoming threat, too. (The added height from atop Ruby would allow his lunging bite to strike higher and would certainly would an opponent into being defeated.).

This being an LBT AU, I want to ask your thoughts on a ESRB Rating? I would go with 'T' for Teen as to better be a 'step up' for fans of the Children's Movie Franchise. It could even make a lot of LBT fans, who may be near feeling they are 'too old' for our dino pals a reason to remain invested by putting a more mature spin on the franchise that does not go over-the-top with violence and gore. (I thought of this as I imagined a quick idea for how Chomper would work during gameplay. Instead of blood, you'd have one of those 'sparks' that show the opponent was hit with, maybe, a health bar showing what damage was dealt. Defeated opponents would 'fade away' to leave behind items and not corpses. This would aid the game's hardware to have less to keep track of while not making things too scary for the player.).

With Chomper, as I enjoyed Ruby a ton, I see his ability to be in-game as either DLC, or unlockable through completion of a series of tasks. In all instances with Ruby, you are able to recruit Chomper. Unfortunately, if the player does not find, or offer aid, to Ruby, they would have to bring his egg back in the same way they did it in [/i]The Great Valley Adventure. Ruby may still be able to be found, as it always feels lousy to lose a chance at recruiting a team member due to not knowing how to perfectly perform a sequence of events, but the order in which Ruby and Chomper get introduced into the game would most definitely impact difficulty and/or buffs / debuffs for each character.

Sorry for taking so long to reply. However, I do agree with your idea of keeping the game at an 'E 10+' rating. This would allow for some slightly more mature content than is most commonly found, along with associated with, The Land Before Time series. The normal group of kiddos who love Littlefoot and friends would be able to enjoy it while those who grew up with Cera, Ducky, Petrie, and pals would be able to expand on the 'Direct Route / Easy Mode' to get more lore, challenges, character development, etc. The benefit is also the replay value for those who may outgrow the 'EC' and/or 'E' part of the game. All that someone seeking more than 'Point A to Point B' could try different routes, options, etc. to play the 'E 10+' content while downloading DLC of extra missions that can make the game difficulty and satisfaction higher and higher, like a flyer, for ongoing enjoyment worth the $60 MSRP for mainstream titles that, often, may only be good for a single playthrough before feeling it not worth the bother to go through again. :)
