A Worthy Opponent
Meta Knight TF
Story Raffle for Timtodile
Written by RedShadowDragon
Quivering, tossing and turning, a cold wind came from an open window of Tim’s room that blew and caressed his body while attempting to sleep. Must have forgotten to close the window again, it wouldn't be the first time it was warm in the day, yet chillingly cold during the night. After a few heavy brusts of wind, Tim would come to consciousness shivering like no tomorrow. “Ugh… it’s even colder than last time…” He would get out of bed quickly, throwing a heavy weighted blanket over him to keep warm before closing the window. “I haven’t heard anyone else complain about the cold recently. I can’t be the only person to be experiencing this right?” It was quite a mystery to him, he complained to his friends who live nearby about the chilling cold winds during the night. But considering it was only September, it was a bit cold because of the seasonal change but not winter levels.
Tim tried to consider it was possibly just his imagination, either that or he was just somehow unlucky. But he had to test his theory, so he threw on some moderately heavy clothing to withstand the cold, and headed downstairs to head out to his backyard. A creaking sound would be heard while he attempted to open the door to his backyard. “I really need that checked…” He would mutter to himself before fully opening the door, it was eerily quiet, with a bit of a windy breeze… where was that chill coming from? He stepped outdoors for a few moments unsure as to what he was really doing at this point. He couldn’t go back to sleep because the wind waking him left him quivering for minutes on end. It felt like something was chilling him to the bone despite it not being that cold outside.
Or at the very least, that’s what he thought before blinking a few times… there was snow on the ground along with a rather hilly path ahead of him. “I-I was just in my backyard a few seconds ago, where am I??” He would begin to panic internally as he observed his surroundings frantically. His house was nowhere to be found, he wondered how this was even possible. However, he couldn’t ponder for too much longer as a gale of snow began to ravage the area. It was quite hard to see, to put it lightly, but on top of the peak of the hill he stood upon was a bright light that carved even through the heaviest of snowfall. ‘Maybe that’s some shelter, I got no better options or I’ll freeze.’ He thought to himself, taking off towards the steep incline before him.
It needs no mention of just how freezing the area was for Tim, with seemingly no one around he was the only one able to steel himself towards that bright light which he had hoped was something of a life saver. He would be correct, in some ways at least, just not in the way he had intended. Minutes of trekking through the snow later, Tim would find himself at the peak of the hill where there was a built fire that cracked a bit. Despite the snow gale just behind Tim this area seemed to be a bit more tolerable at the very least. Not taking a moment to spare he would sit next to the fire and huddle for warmth. While he attempted to warm himself up, he looked around the area some more… before taking notice of the bright light that called him up here in the first place.
A bright yellow sword with two tinges on each side, with a beautiful ruby embedded into its hilt. It seemed to be placed within a pedestal of sorts, with a rather odd insignia in the center. It was a light purple “M” with a sword illustration going through the “M” and below it. Tim would shake his head a bit in surprise, he’s never handed a weapon before, but something was beckoning him ahead to pull it and wield it. The thought of defeating someone to get home suddenly came into Tim’s mind, but who? There wasn’t time to think about that surely, he wouldn’t resort to violence would he?
Well, considering he was all alone it would seem that maybe he could use this sword calling to him to defend himself. Which seemed to stir something inside of him, he felt like he was adjusting to the cold very slightly with the added heat from the fire nearby. Pushing himself up to his feet again, he would eye the sword again before noticing just how… small it seemed? It only looked to be… maybe a foot tall at the very most and that’s being generous. He was far enough away when looking at it at first that it seemed bigger than it was. Though, he guessed a neat “knife” would help to defend himself. A few moments later he would find himself behind the sword, and bended down before tugging the sword with his left hand. It came out with almost no hassle, almost like Tim was supposed to pull it out.
As soon as he took it out, and took the sword into his hand giving a little test swing, sudden crackling would be heard before flames began to engulf the sword’s sides. The metal of the sword was more than able to withstand the flames, but Tim panicked very slightly from the sword, somehow being able to conjure up flames at the thought of it by Tim. Was the sword connected to him somehow…? He investigated a bit further, almost burning himself in the process. “Ow! Stupid Sword!” He would attempt to drop the sword from this, however, he was unable. He was forcibly holding the handle of the sword, as it kept burning almost like it was burning something inside of Tim.
As the moments passed by, Tim felt his senses in his arms and legs begin to diminish quite quickly. The cold was getting to him right? No, that couldn’t be the sword he held was quite literally on fire. He was warm enough for now, at least he thought so. But the cold was not the cause, his whole body was beginning to shrink, and quickly too. As he tried to let go of the sword yet again, the light coming from the fire engulfed Tim. With him seemingly unable to see from the bright light of fire. He was unable to notice his arms in their entirety dissolve into the sides of his chest only leaving his hands remaining. Which was also undergoing some alterations, all of his fingers aside from his thumb merged together turning… a dark blue? Shock was instilled in Tim as he was unable to move, intrusive thoughts started to engulf Tim’s mind.
‘Galaxia’, the sword’s name, came into Tim’s mind. “Galaxia..? Isn’t that…?” Tim shuttered a bit before he was able to finish that sentence. Tim’s legs were giving out as they continued to shrink into obscurity only leaving his feet, which were curving inwards and merging all together into an oval, which seemingly was able to hold his weight now. Though he was face first in the snow from collapsing. The sword’s flames melted the snow surrounding him with quite ease. “Isn’t that… Meta- I mean my sword?” He was able to complete the sentence finally after panting slightly. “The Leader of the Meta Knights, Meta Knight let himself lose to that pink puff ball. Galaxia must be furious with me, no wonder it’s burning with passion..” He would mutter to himself, as Tim seemingly was not in control anymore. The sword he possessed was reviving the rightful owner of the sword.
The last of the physical changes would be… quite awkward for the half transformed knight. His stomach began to combine with his head, merging together into a dark blue sphere quite literally. His eyes would become yellow oval like pupils as all the human-like features of his face dissipated, including his nose, hair, and even his mouth. Or at least most of it, as it was just a straight black oval as well, but was able to move like normal luckily. As he picked himself up, he would shake his new… well body as it’s basically all a singular thing now. With that final physical change aside, Tim… sorry, Meta Knight. Was in a bit of a daze, the flames of Galaxia were calming down after being with it’s rightful owner again. However, there was something missing. “Blast, I must have lost my armor when the Halberd crashed onto Shiver Star… would explain why I went camping out.” He would say before noticing a chest next to the pedestal of where his sword was… never there. Must have been his imagination he never would let his legendary sword be stored in such harsh conditions.
After opening the chest, he found his armor in tip top shape, ready to put back on, and find a way off this dreaded frozen planet. Without hesitation, he would securely put his signature mask back on, he didn’t want people to find out his true identity after all. After that he slung his cape which also worked as his wings back on, then put on his boots and gloves. It took a few minutes to get it all on, due to the cold, but he was able to manage.
With himself finally all ready to get back into action, Meta Knight picked up his trusty sword, and spread out his wings, thinking to himself a bit as to how he would get his revenge. But first, he had to find his rival in arms. “Where is that pink puff ball! After knocking my ship out of the sky he has the audacity to flee. Hmph, guess I’ll have to find him myself.” Meta Knight would look at the snowstorm in front of him, igniting his sword Glaxia as he spread out his caped wings and gave a small smirk underneath his mask. “I’ll make sure I get payback, and this time I’ll make sure you’re ready to take on the world Kirby!” He would say before swiftly flying off into the snow storm to look for his rival and sometimes comrade would he find him easily in such a snowy world? Guess that’s for his keen senses to foretell later. Meta Knight would set out to get his Revenge, he wasn’t one to let himself be played. Maybe next time Kirby will think of “Meta Knight’s Revenge” in his dreams.
