I'd have to disagree on the flavor part, while not as intense in flavor as other fruits I feel like the dragonfruit is very rich and almost has a creamy texture. I kinda compare it to the flavor of vanilla. From which you can build off of in so many ways. So I'd say it could be a very versatile pokemon that shines brightest when in a well thought up team.

On a separate thought, the dragonfruit can also come with a deep pinkish red fruitflesh. would make for pretty shiny colors.

I like your version better, it would fit with the team aesthetic of the game.

There are also dragonfruits that have a more complex flavor than the ones that typically get shipped to US markets! I've heard that dragonfruits elsewhere are much tastier (like most food outside of the US... lol)

Could make for a Vivillion-style array! Though maybe not as... plentiful. lol

A shiny based on the alternate colors would also be super cute!

Yeah, that's the sad reality when you eat non-native fruits. they're picked when not completely ripe and finish maturing during the shipping, which in turn develops less flavor than if left to fully ripen on the plant. I make a point to try local fruits if I travel anywhere. Not many tropical fruits growing here in scandinavia :C
