Lately, I've been reading a lot of sci-fi and I felt like trying some different aesthetics for my characters. I imagine Kondar working in the high-risk-high reward and legally grey field of scavenging spaceship wreckages and selling rare minerals.
Actually, sci-fi would be a more apt setting for worlds with furries and orcs, since different planets could more logically harvest species in the same ecological niche, than just ONE continent on one planet.
Yeah, we would fall into the sin of anthropomorphism, but that could be excused with an ancient space-faring race that implated similar intelligent species on various planets.
And I imagine proper non-anthropomorphic aliens like cyborg dragon-lobsters being just disgusted by all the other humanoid aliens bonking each other before even knowing their respective names.
Right now I clearly can't decide between the more baggy and plausible design for the spacesuit, and something skinnier and more revealing, like a biker suit.
I feel like a scavenger would go for an old model second-hand baggy suit covered in patches, and nothing else when he's on his ship to keep the weight and inertia of the vessel to a minimum.
Imagine him visiting a space cafe and having to choose between wearing the suit and dying of heat, and opening at least the top part and eating his lunch bare-chested.
