After Seaman Drake Grayson stole some pieces of Balthazar Bratt's highly tensile bubble gum and blew a bubble that nearly engulfed the entire Cartoonia system, Chanticleer made him spend 10 days in the Resolute's brig for his misconduct. Still, Drake had heard that Chanticleer was a skilled bubble blower himself, and he wanted to see once and for all who was the best.

Once enough time had elapsed since getting out of the brig, Drake officially challenged Chanticleer to a bubble blowing contest. Chanticleer accepted only on the condition that no special kinds of gum would be used, just Dubble Bubble. They met in the launching ramp of the Resolute's hangar spine, and a lot of the men of the 501st and 104th actually showed up to witness the spectacle. Anakin, Ahsoka, Rex, and Tayle all placed bets on Chanticleer without a second thought, but some of the soldiers and sailors of the 104th actually bet on Drake. Chanticleer and Drake each took 20 pieces of Dubble Bubble, chewed them until they were nice and doughy, and began blowing. Their bubbles are around 18 feet in diameter by now, but it looks like Chanticleer's is slightly bigger. Whose bubble will last the longest? Only time will tell.
