Renard's actual job, in-universe, is serving as an archivist and archaeologist for a big city museum- given his particular set of skills, he's very well suited for field work, and is usually called in when giant boulders need to be curled or puzzles need solving. Unfortunately, not every artifact he finds is harmless- and this one in particular is having some very explosive effects on him!
