Dawn the Lopunny wanted her and her two best friends, Vix the Zorua and Alice the Glameow, to be treated as the most beautiful damsels in the village for her birthday wish, but her wish ended up having the girls be napped and thrown into the public stocks making them damsels-in-distress. Though none of the onlookers were throwing rotten fruit at them. They instead admired the extreme beauty of the stockaded ladies, but the girls would occassionally end up getting a butt slap.
Also a butterfly remained on Dawn's nose throughout all of this because why not.
The stocks magically disappeared around them after the stroke of midnight as it was the end of Dawn's birthday.
The girls actually liked being admired all day despite being stuck in the stocks and they felt the stocks looked pretty around them too.
Being turned into a damsel-in-distress gave Dawn the best birthday of her life.
