As one of the most skilled Rangers in the Order of Sentinels, Desmond is often called upon to continue where other Sentinels could not. His skill with a blade and pistol are rivaled only by his skill as an outdoorsman, able to pick up and follow trails that for many would have gone cold days or even weeks ago. For a trail as fresh as this, however, there is no escape. The Sentinels' duty is in the protection of the innocent, whether it be from beasts of the wild, monsters of the night, or malicious men. Or, some combination of the three, as often we find out that men, beasts, and monsters are seldom mutually exclusive.
