awesome, though I bet the artist would ecstatic to get such a comment, you should definitely take some time to copy paste it to here http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4438345
Generally, I'm not a fan of transformation, but this very piece seems different from most, and appealing! It's really interesting how the artist in this managed to capture the feeling that is just on the border between awe and panic, somewhat suggesting that what is happening is not something you regard with utter horror (as, for example, the werewolf-bitten people in classic werewolf movies on their first transformation), but rather with a hint of an excited interest at what is going on, not without a grain of fear, of course, which is kind of natural in a situation like that! ^^ I really enjoy the pieces where it is taken care of to depict a complex emotional attitude, not just simplistic one-sided fear, lust, joy etc... Also conveyed somewhat through the pose, which also gives out the fact that unlike "classic" transformations, this one is not quite so painful, if painful at all. There is a hint of sweating, but at the same time the pose is not conveying any physical agony, just some disorientation. The way you/character you is looking at the changing fore paw adds greatly to the overall feeling of a picture, conveying more of a frightened interest (something along the lines of "well I always wondered how it would have been... but is there no turning back now?!"), than just plain horror.
Very dynamic and conveying drawing indeed. Very lovely with the way the character is positioned, with a hint of a foreshortening applied, which the artist took advantage of to draw a really nice, round and supple changed rear paw and its paw pads.
Also, looks like you are going to preserve your decency while transforming - it seems that the fur have conveniently growing well up your sides and tummy, before the jeans become destroyed utterly *^^*

Well that my friend is a wonderfully well thought out, and thoroughly intelligent piece of critique you just gave me. I love that you took the time to write out such highly intellectually considered praise, but I have to say it's partially wasted on myself.
You see, the original artist (whom I've linked and given credit for the image too in the submission details) would probably be ecstatic and completely overjoyed to receive such high praise of his work. I would be truly honored if you would copy+paste your wonderful comment on their submission here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4438345
As for the pose, well he used a picture by
gnarlton66 (also mentioned and linked in the submission info) as a reference for the pose he used. So you may be interested in following that link given in the picture description above, to view the aforementioned picture, and possibly let that artist know how you felt about the posing, especially if it's similar to how the pose here made you feel.
Once again thank you for such a wonderful and skillfully put together comment, I do hope my response will adequately convey my gratitude for it. ^^

Given your kind words about my little "critique" above, I am duly ashamed to say that I was kind of lured towards your gallery by the contest you have going on - although the pieces you commission are surely very worthy of commentary by themselves! *^^* Just thought I should give something tangible, if I intended to give any commentary at all. Generally, I am too shy/reserved to write something to people I don't know, so I must thank you for helping me breach this habit a little bit ! :)
I was surely intended to go on the original artist's page and copy and paste the thing with some minor edits there as well, and I will do so for sure (was just distracted a little bit)! Thank you for the encouraging the commenting to original artists, and for the links as well! ^^

My pleasure entirely. I'm glad I was able to have been of some assistance. You are more than welcome to enter the contest, and there is no problem at all that you intended to do so while writing this stupendous comment.
I whole heartedly look forward to your guesses, please don't forget to watch me before doing so, as that was the other requirement ^^
