Sam, Ryker, and Cynthia had been knocked around in galar. The 3 decided to start over and move to Unova. They tried the stock market, but the bubble burst. They tried Gambling on Sports games. That imploded within a few games.
They threw everything they had to get out of debt, but nothing held up.
That is until they met a cat on the streets of Castelia City.
"I heard you're in debt. I think I can help."
"How? Please Tell me!" Said the Cinderace.
"A loan won't help, but this competition will. All 3 of you can escape financial burden."
All 3 accepted.

The 3 woke up the next morning in a wide open room with 43 other competitors.
Around 15 guards and a person with a black suit and a golden mask.

"Welcome. There are 46 competitors in this room. All have been caught in a financial burden and tough breaks. However, there will be 1 winner that will be walking away with millions of dollars. But there will be a series of games to win. Are you in?"

The players chattered among themselves,But all were in.

"The first game will begin shortly."
"And by the way, my name is the headmaster"

"Please stand infront of the camera so you can get your player ID." Said the headmaster.

The players got their Ids and pictures taken.

Then they walked up what seemed to be a never ending staircase.

Competitors had come from near and far, even from other games to play this thing.
