Jemima Rish © Me!
Another character I've had for over 20 years that's never had art before, but she's very special to me. Jema was the character that my partner first approached for RP which is how we first met and started talking online. Of all my characters she is the most like my real self, and if I didn't identify as a fox she'd probably be my fursona. Jema's past is very deep because I actively roleplayed her for a long time.
I designed her in my mind to be pretty, but plain. There's nothing eye-catching about her; she's a simple 5'0" short tabby cat with a kind, submissive, and accepting personality. She was born a slave and life has treated her poorly but there have been good times in between. Anytime she found herself in a happy place it would eventually end by reminding her that she was essentially property, sold on with an estate's other chattels or passed to a new owner, not all of whom treated her well. Yet, through all the mistreatment, she kept her hopes up and continued to serve faithfully, and was eventually rewarded with a place as head housemaid at Falworth Manor where I have mostly retired her as a character so she could have a semblance of a happy ending.
Jema might be petite but she's not a pushover. Very discreet and hard-working, she's one of the only staff trustworthy enough to be allowed to service the Lord and Lady's private quarters in the manor and not gossip about what she sees there to anyone. She's well-educated thanks to her history, and if she ever does have spare time she likes to spend it in the library.
