"I will not let it end this way...I WILL KILL YOU ALL!!!"
-Shukaku, Battle of Fantasies I
That was the opening line given by Shukaku when this form appeared in Battle of Fantasies during his very first battle with Ryona Karuzina.
-Making of the Drawing-
This sketch is actually based from a dream that I had a couple years ago. I was in my dinning room looking at a couple of color-printed screenshots of Shukaku from Naruto Episode 78: "Naruto's Ninja Handbook". Then I came across one that was never even part of the original episode. It depicted Shukaku diving out of the sky, apparently on the attack. He had terrible injuries and a missing tail. The blue markings on his body were rough and ragged in detail, and new ones on his face. The one detail that stood out, and caught my attention were his eyes, blood-red with a black "vortex" pattern for the pupils.
I couldn't seem to try and draw the exact picture of Shukaku "sky diving" without it looking weird, so I decided to draw the form while he was on the ground, preparing to attack Ryona. To help me focus on this, I listened to songs that set a "Dark" mood, such as "Humanity" by the Scorpions. The markings in the original "dream" are just like the ones in this sketch, vividly reminding me of the marks on InuYasha's face when his Demon Form first appeared. The new, murderous intent in his eyes scared me when I first saw it. Doesn't it seem to send shivers down your spine? I imagined how the transformation in his eyes would go: the "star" becomes a regular pupil, the four blue dots connect to form a thin ring, and eight curving lines flow from the main pupil.
To justify the new, terrifying appearance of the Sand Demon, he has gained just as terrible powers and abilities in the process:
1. Super Speed - Despite his size and mass, Shukaku is capable of inhuman speed.
2. Super Agility - Shukaku is also capable of dodging attacks quickly in the air as well as point-blank, high-speed projectile attacks. During the battle against Ryona, Shukaku was able to dodge a Light Grenade at point-blank range, and he was able to easily dodge numerous Shadow Spell chains in midair.
3. Increased Bloodlust - Shukaku becomes absolutely merciless to anyone he sees, having an increased lust for blood and intent to kill. Shukaku will continue to attack anyone even when they are down...or even dead.
Shukaku also gains two devastating attacks in the process:
1. Chakra Claws - Shukaku's claws constantly emit powerful masses of chakra. They're now capable of acting like a Chakra Scalpel, except that they explode when they make contact with a target. Shukaku can channel more chakra into his claws for an even deadlier explosion.
2. Chakra Shockwave - The deadlier of the two. Shukaku can concenrate massive amounts of chakra into his fist and send it as a deadly shockwave similar to InuYasha's Wind Scar and Ryona's Chaos Scar, except that this attack surpasses both, having ten times more power than either one. It's powerful enough to negate a Triforce Twister, one of the strongest union attacks of Ryona, Sesshomaru, and InuYasha.
Some of you are wondering how Shukaku managed to get so angry at one particular person. Well, if you were in Shukaku's place in the Battle of Fantasies Perspective, how would you react if you:
1. Had your arm cut off.
2. Had part of your power drained.
3. Were treated like a Hammer Throw.
4. Had to face your own powers in the form of a pure doppleganger.
5. Almost lost your other arm from your own signature attack.
6. Got smacked in the back of the head by the doppleganger's tail.
7. Almost had your head sliced off.
8. Were almost choked to death.
9. Had your tail severed.
10. Got kicked high into the air from a kick to the chin.
11. Had your lower back slashed and stabbed countless times.
12. Got blasted down by a point-blank blast to the chest.
And to top it all off...
13. Get your stomach blasted out and rendered unable to use your signature attack.
If I was Shukaku at that time...HELL YEAH, I would be completely pissed off at the guy who did all that to me!!!
I must say though, I feel sorry for Gaara at this point; he's being possessed by a possessed demon.
