Eve really gets into nerf wars....
I was in the park and friend of mine has tons of nerf guns, so me, my buddy and one other person select our weapons and well we go to town! I don't know what they were using but I was using the 'Deploy' I love this gun! It cocks like a shotgun and it's a solid gun so I can brace it against myself and fire (not that there is any recoil or anything)
If you have or know how to get one of those 15 round clips for the nerf guns I would be very interested in trading art work for it!
What's your fav nerf gun and why?

I liked this one called 'Ripsaw' which worked by pulling a bar which then spun a wheel, and when you pulled the trigger a mechanism would release and drop one of these small foam balls (that you can also use for practicing your golf swing without much distance on them, same thing really) which would then fly pretty far and fast considering its an unmodded nerf gun…
Got a few faves. The Maverick for pure modifiability, the switch shot because, y'know, it's actually shaped like a small handgun, this awesome flashbulb one I found at goodwill, the Recon cause it's probably the easiest paintjob I've ever had on a nerf gun, and the Longstrike because, well, rifle~
Though it's difficult to get in very many colors, if your base is gonna be a basic color, go with a vinyl dye. Sand any paint off before using it though, because it'll bond directly to the plastic but doesn't work so well through paint.
anima has a surprisingly good guide on this stuff here http://www.furaffinity.net/view/72038/, as well as a good display of his stuff in scraps. Just please don't do the "steampunk" thing everyone's doing with theirs, make yours look at least a little original or inspired.

My club mates and I have a pair of Nerf Swords, often dual wielded with a Maverick Pistol.
In the close confines of the basement is often that things will turn to close combat with hilarious results.
It's even more funny when someone manages to parry a Nerf Dart shot at them with the sword.

I'm fond of the old sawtooth myself. It was one of the first clip-fed nerf guns, and it was loud as all hell. It used a big, ratcheted frontal handle to cock, so whenever you got a decent run of shots going, it sounded like a frigging chainsaw. Plus the modular barrel design is kinda nice, if rather pointless.
That's the Spirit!
Be careful if you ever get a CS-6 Recon, we modded the three we got and are all now just for show.
All three got much more power and range, but it considerably shortened their lifespans.
The backs of the plungers busted off with in a week or two of use.
Among all the N-Strike series the Maverick is my personal fav. It's just a rugged workhorse that will tolerate modding very well and fire off pretty much any dart you can stuff in it.
