Now here's a challenge - hold 4 baby snakes at once!
I'm thinking this'll be my project for the year. Grow up the 4 snow motleys I got and see if any of them prove out to be homozygous for butter as well (there's a 50/50 chance), and see if they look notably different from the het-butter ones.
It kind of seems like it was meant to be, I mean, I wanted to keep one male snow mot... I got one male snow mot! And 3 girl snow mots! And they are all big and some of the best feeders of the clutch :B
Anyway if you're wondering WTF I'm doing here I was trying to line them up for ease of visual comparison. The male looks slightly peachier to me but that could just be because he's a boy and not because he's the only homozygous butter...
Yellows tend to develop more as the snake grows so it seems possible one wouldn't be able to see a difference in babies, but would in adults.

Awwww so pretty X3 Baby snakes are such cuties <3
I have a Male Snow Corn myself :D (not sure what a motley is...I'm still a newbie at terminology regarding colorings and patterns) He's my little boy and has quite the bold yellow stripping down his sides and on the tip of his nose.

So adorable...Also, my normal and anery females are doing excellent. After they each ate their pinkie, they settled in for a day..and today, they were all around their cage. I would have taken them out, but I wanted to give them another day to at least digest some more.
As for the butter...left a pinkie in her cage for a day to see if anything happened. Nothing at all..so tomorrow I'll be getting the syringe and food from Cynthia and we're going to start force-feeding her (as bad as it sounds >_<)...for about a week or two, then try a live pinkie to see if it triggers eating.
