Hey You! (In color)
Colored it up. I like this a lot better than my last experiment. Getting used to the tablet! (And I'm glad I have a thick lap desk. Boy it gets hot!)
This is an ancient character of mine that keeps getting revisited every so often and slightly redesigned. I found this doodle of her in one of my sketchbooks and thought it looked nice enough to scan. I was going to practice coloring with the tablet again to try and get a less shiny rubbery effect but also thought the inks alone were kind of neat.
Her name is Three, and no there isn't a one and a two anywhere. 'Three' is actually more of a title, which in her case means 'exile with no name' (I'd let the people around her give her names, which varied from 'White' to 'Shadow' to 'Fox' to 'Scout' to 'Miss Fluffyhead'). She was my generic dimensional wandering character that started life as an old TMNT Roleplay character, and has had dozens of incarnations since.
I like to think that each new incarnation is due to her having skipped realities for one reason or another. And in this one it looks like she's a generic fantasy ranger type. I think in this case she ended up somewhere that didn't have a race she could blend in with, so she had to go survivalist and cover herself up. She's got parts of her hidey uniform off at the moment.
The little cuff on her tail is there because that's always where it gets slammed into doors. Tail armor! And the collection of crosses on her neck is just a random little habit she has. She'll make them and add them to the multitudes of leather strips on her neck. Sometimes she'll lose them, sometimes she'll have a bunch. It's just something she does.
Inked linework moved to scraps.

The title, makes me think of Pink Floyd song. Her pose looks like she's about to execute a triple snap in the Z formation with a little headshake. So now i've got this in my head:
Hey you, M-m, yeah you know who I'm talking to,
Out there freezing his tail off in the cold,
Getting all lonely, getting old and all wrinkly and nasty looking and shit Can you feel me? Huh, can you?
Hey, you! yeah, yes you with your itching feet, fading smiles, yeah look at me when I talk to you hon.
Don't you go helping them punk-assed fools buryin no live now y'hear?...

Yeah, I've got to agree--this one looks much better than your last tablet experiment. The cloth and leather have pretty dark, shadowy tones, which are a stark contrast to her white fur. I can see why she uses the dark tones to hide herself.
The shading and highlighting here look a lot more natural. For example, on her leather bracers and the pouch at her belt, you made the textures look much less smooth, more rugged; like they've seen quite a bit of travel and wear.
I like this one a lot, Gen.

I've been pouring over tutorials and trying to gather good brush sets for photoshop. I may invest in a copy of Paint Tool Sai one of these days as well as I like a lot of their tools. I'm also learning wonderful tricks like setting layers to 'multiply' and 'overlay'.
Nah. Like many roleplay characters made by teenagers, she has too many powergamey aspects and is a bit tangled up in fantasy worlds that belong to other people. I could probably unstring some of them and make them my own with some tweaking, but it would be a lot of work.
I may do some oneshots here just for fun though. This was one of the first times I've drawn her and it felt 'right'.
