Not quite the opening scene of the 'One Aon Fatality' novel amzn.to/3vbnKUW , but is the perfect sum of the isolation, distance, and dashed hopes of the main character, Fatality.
Fatality is one of my two "Moonies"... well, not counting the rest of Fatality's siblings. As in, more or less some sort of vague representation or interpretation of the Moon itself. And yes, the other one is totally a Sailor Moon character. Thus to make this worse, the background is being reused and the other half of the image is of that character. But wanted one of those classic sci-fi images of sad girls gazing at planets, so here we are, sad girl (intersex, don't judge), too dejected to even look at it even.
Earth and Milky Way stocks are from NASA (public domain is fun!), otherwise, mass editing regardless and then quick background. I hate painting Fatality from behind since her feathers are such a bloody pain. I have a method for dealing with them, still annoying. Still got the look I wanted in the end, and am so happy to get some drawing in. Been craving it badly after tons of editing novels. Sorry that of course, it's another Fatality image. Forgive me. As promised, there is a second half if you wanted some 90's anime nostalgia of some kind.
