It's a barren house, but come Spring, he'll have put some life into it. For now, though, it's just him, his warm cup of tea, and another cold morning.
This one's another traditional sketch (pencil-on-paper) that I decided to take a bit further. Although I used a reference for both the pose and the background, when translating it to a medium that I can't just select + transform has led to it being a bit... wonky, to say the least. What I lacked in memory about perspective, though, I feel I made up for by experimenting with shading and lighting. It's not spectacular (to me at least), but for future art pieces, it's a definite step in the right direction. Hopefully, as my dominant wrist gets better, I'll make even more progress soon!
Although I've been pretty consistent in uploading pieces across multiple sites at the same time, one thing you'll likely not see on here are my sketches and my forever-unfinished pieces (which are sometimes interchangeable, depending on the day).
